University of Dar es Salaam
The Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE), a constituent college of the University of Dar es Salaam, is a public institution in Tanzania established in 2005 to address the acute shortage of graduate teachers, experts and research in the education sector. DUCE is tasked with providing high quality graduate teaching, and undertaking research, policy consultancy and public service. With its extensive links to the Tanzanian social sector and policy institutions, the University of Dar es Salaam offers valuable research and knowledge mobilization connections to a diverse array of government, private sector and civil society actors in Tanzania. DUCE has strongly encouraged Dr. Kinyondo (co-applicant) in his continuing national and international research collaborations, and continues to provide institutional support for his partnering with Prof. Chris Huggins of uOttawa in joint work on resource nationalism in the artisanal and small-scale mining sector in Tanzania.
